Stabilizer bars are an essential element to maintain the stability of the car.
The stabilizer bar is a component of the suspension that consists of an elastic steel bar whose ends are fixed to the suspension supports of the wheels of the same axle
This bar allows to solidarize the vertical movement of the opposite wheels, thereby minimizing the lateral inclination suffered by the body of a vehicle when it is subjected to centripetal force, typically in curves.
When the vehicle enters a curve, the body tends to lean outwards. This causes the wheels that go on the outside of the curve to be subjected to a greater dynamic force, which translates into a greater weight on the suspension.
Conversely, the inner wheels are discharged. Therefore, a compression of the suspension on the external side and an extension on the internal side can be observed. This effect can cause some of the internal wheels to lose contact with the pavement.
For sports driving, bars are mounted oversized with respect to the original with a larger diameter so that the car enters and leaves the curves flatter.
