AST Roll Cages for Motorsport, Trackday, NASCAR doors style
Roll cage bars are an essential element for our safety in the practice of automotive as a sport, whatever the specialty in which we participate.
AST Roll cages are manufactured with the latest advances in 3D software. The cockpit of the vehicles are scaned in a three-dimensional manner with the latest technologies to be able to subsequently make computer-assisted design.
This allows to cut the tubes by laser and make complex unions of several tubes at the same point, so the efforts in the structure are contrasted between tubes and their opposites.
IT IS OUR RESCUE IN CASE OF A RAILWAY ACCIDENT
The safety structures, which are currently mandatory in competition vehicles participating in official competitions under FIA regulations, are intended to protect occupants in case of accidents, particular in case of turning or shock.
In the cars that must pass technical verification are required and must comply with Annex J FIA, at the end of this page you can access the link of the FIA norms by clicking on "know more details".
In the vehicles that practice tandas or trackdays are usually highly recommended, in an official competition it is of mandatory use to guarantee our own safety in case of accidents with or without turning, therefore you have to be aware that although they do not force us in free tandas, it is an accessory that we shouldn’t have to pass over because it’s our saviors in case of accident.
In addition, it is not only for our safety, but also the assembly of a roll cage significantly strengthens the chassis making it more consistent and compact, the chassis of origin tends to have some flexibility to provide passengers' walking comfort, if we run on a circuit and don't carry bars, the chassis will be subjected structurally the torsional forces and this will gradually weaken.

SERIES OF ROLL CAGES
Within the AST Roll cages range we can find 3 general groups:
Track Day Line for street use and weeknd track in circuits
Motorsport Series for FIA and non FIA competition races
NASCAR doors style for drift use
Track Day Line (Street and weeken track use)
The Track Day line series is mainly featured by being homologable cages, i.e. a priori comply with the regulations to circulate by the public road, however, to avoid unforeseen surprises, we advise all users to contact a homologator to consult the street legal local rules for every country.
In the Track Day Line series, we can find two groups:
Rear Cages and Full Cages
AST Rear Cages Track Day
The Rear Cages are four-point backs, recommended for vehicles whose users seek a security plus to participate in sports tests and circuit track days without giving up losing the daily use of the vehicle.
For these cases, a homologator employee should be consulted to legalize the installation, if necessary (according the rules in you country) with the rear cages it is mandatory to cancel the rear places in the technical sheet of the car.
All structures are delivered with the necessary reinforcement plates to be weld in the body work on which the structure is going to be bolted in
Within this group there are 4 different variants of rear cages (Depending on the car model it must be available some of them)
Rear Cage V1
Rear roll cage 4 points of anchor with bars intended to subject the harnesses belts. Incorporate a single X in the rear arc. They are supplied with reinforcement plates to weld the chassis on which the structure will be bolted in
Rear Cage V2

They are supplied with disassembly unions type FIA to facilitate assembly and disassembly within the cockpit
2 - AST Full Cages Track Day (Legal Street)
The Full Cages are 6 points anchor arc, a complete structure that covers the back arc and the front arc providing a more complete protection to the pilot and copilot in case of departure and/or accident with turning.
They can also be legalized for use on the public road, but it is you need to consult before with a homologer to review the compatibility with the regional regulations of your nearest ITV station.
Full Cage V1 Street

Motorsport series FIA
The FIA Motorsport Series is indicated for all those vehicles that taking part in competitions under FIA regulations, must meet the requirements required in Annex J to the FIA
In the AST Motorsport cages, we can find 3 variants, Bolt in, Weld in, or Multipoints
The cage BOLT IN they are 6 points structures already welded with each other, so that the customer introduces them in the car without having to do subsequent welding operations.By default, they are served in 2 semiarks, front arc and back arc, they are sent to destination in a palet by truck in transport.
The cage THE WORLD IN they are 6 points structures and are provided as a kit of loose bars so that the customer can weld them in a specialized AST workshop.
Multi-point cages are more complex, they are 8-point structures that usually have prolongations to the front torrents of the vehicle, they are for FIA-superior competitions in which more complex structures are needed with a greater protection and a more considerable and compact chassis reinforcement together.
Variants in
There are 5 variants designs from the most basic version of 6 points (Variant V1) to the more complex version of 6 points (Variant V5) that includes more comprehensive and complex reinforcements.
Basic structure of 6 points of anchor already sold and ready to mount on the vehicle (Serves in two pieces on a transport palette). The front arc connects to the back by union helmets twisted with each other. It is necessary to weld reinforcement plates to the chassis and then to turn the structure to such plates.Simple side bars on the doors and a back horizontal bar to can anchor the arneses.
It’s the same as the basic version V1 to the difference that 2 crosses in X are incorporated on the doors

The Weld In
There are 5 variants designs from the most basic version of 6 points (Variant V1) to the more complex version of 6 points (Variant V5) that includes more comprehensive and complex reinforcements.
Basic structure of 6 points of anchorage, serves as a kit with the loose bars to weld.
The transport of the WELD IN cages is cheaper than the BOLT IN because they occupy less volume, but the car user must make them welded in a professional welding workshop. The responsible del work of welding lies on the operarian soldier.
It is essential to make a perfect welding to ensure the structure's resistance and its protection to the occupants, if you're not sure that it's going to be done correctly it's more advisable to choose the BOLT IN option.
It is also necessary to weld reinforcement plates to the chassis and then to turn the structure to such plates.Simple side bars on the doors and a back horizontal bar to can anchor the arneses.
Taking the basic version V1 to the difference that 2 crosses in X are incorporated on the doors, a cris on the back arc and a longitudinal bar on the roof.
