Instructions for correct assembly of the KSport brakes

Although it seems obvious, not many people follow the right steps to mount some brakes.

The brake assembly is advised to be carried out by experts, but some users with mechanical knowledge and the appropriate tools can make the brake replacement.

Here we’ll give a series of instructions for the correct assembly of any brake, if you follow these instructions, we’ll make sure you won’t have any problems, you’ll enjoy the best of driving and you’ll extend the life of your brakes.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO READ BEFORE MOUNTING

Thank you for acquiring your new high-performance brake equipment

Here we indicate a few recommendations that you can take the best advantage of your new braking team, to extend your life to the maximum and to enjoy sports driving.

Unpacking the brakes

Before sending the package we always open the boxes to check that all the material is correct and nothing is missing.When opening the package you should receive two brake disks with their nucleus, two pinces, a brackets game that make the function of brake supports, two brake lines, a pills game and a game of scratch and tornado.

Montage of the brakes

It is always recommended that the braking of the brakes is done by a specialist technician and never leave it in the hands of someone inexpert.

At the time of mounting the new brakes, it is necessary to carry out a series of checks and works for avoid vibration after the installation.

The brake disks are perfectly balanced in the factory, but if any mechanical component has many kilometers of use it is possible that it has holes or is not aligned or balanced.

1 – The plate and wheel set must be perfectly balanced after assembly

2 – Check if there is decentralization with a comparative clock (Figure 1 of manual page 6), it should not exceed 0.15 mm.If so, I am changing the bull/rotating set.

3 – Review the state of the rollings, if you have a use close to 80/100 km it is very possible that they are wiped out, have holgura and translate into vibrations.

4 – If there is a hole between the disk and the smaller dust of 0.15 mm, put a little teflon tape around the dust tape.(Figure 2 page 6)

5 – DO NOT USE PNEUMATIC IMPACT PISTOLSThe.It is imperative to always use a dynamometric key to stretch the wheels, otherwise the aluminum core can be deformed

6 – Check if there is wrath in the wrath with a comparator clock (Figure 1 page 7 manual), if the tolerance is greater than 0.05 mm replace the wrath-wrath set with a new, if it is less make sure to clean the flat part of the wrath with a metal wrath brush (Figure 2 page 7)

7 – In case of mounting separators with the new brakes, make sure to mount high-quality separators (evite mounting used and/or mediocre cheap quality separators), and do the same checks as in the above points.

In the case of vibrations when braking at speeds between 100-140 km/h, all silentblocks, especially those marked with a red point on the figure, must be reviewed  A/B of page 2 of the manual. 

Many inexpert mechanics attribute vibrations to the new brakes without having previously looked at the state of the silentblocks and joints, with a use of more than 80/100 km it is very possible that they are mixed and not appreciated at simple sight.BBSport recommends replacing them with superior quality polyurethane to ensure a homogeneous braking.

Rounds of the brakes

The pills that come by default in the brake kit are of street quality to perform a recording of at least 1000 km.  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO RESPECT THE ROAD FOR A WELL-FUNCTIONING BRAKES.

If you want to mount organic or high-performance carboceramic brake pills for circuit tandas or demanding sports driving, you must do so after  make the drawing with the predetermined pills and never jump the drawing, if you do so, it is possible that it deteriorates the discs being invalidated the guarantee.
