Homologating antiviral bars
The regulations have recently changed and a new review of the ITV regulations has come out in May 2018.
In it the characteristics that must meet an antivulco bar to be homologated, are more strict than in the past, all the Track Day bars are manufactured fulfilling a series of conditions to be homologated.
The four-point rear arcs are easily homologable and the homologation laboratories do not usually stick, the rear places are cancelled in the homologation project, which makes it forbidden to carry passengers on the rear.
The problem we find it when the full arc of 6 points is mounted by adding the front arc, it is necessary to respect a minimum vital space so that the driver and copiloto are not damaged in a collision and cause precisely the opposite that is to damage rather than to protect.
But so that the structure can be homologable, this also depends on other factors outside the cage manufacturing, such as the seat assembly position, let’s see what conditions the bars must meet to be homologated:

Whenever there are antivulc bars within the habitat, it will have to ensure that there is the minimum distance of 90cm between the point A (see image) and any point of the antivulc bars located in front of the back of each of the places.
2 - Protected
or those bars that do not remain behind the backings of each seat square must go covered with some blank element type foam or rubber.
The installer must ensure that any bar that remains in front of the seat back has to go duly protected,if not that premise is fulfilled, the homologation laboratory can refuse to homologate that installation for insecure.
In the load area, where there will be no seats, it will not be necessary to cover the bars.
Banned side bars
The opening of any door of the vehicle can never be tapped or blocked.In this way, bars such as those shown in the following photo cannot be homologated in a street vehicle, allowing only those vehicles classified as rally, circuit, drift or other competition.
The purpose is to facilitate both the access and the departure of the occupants, and in addition, the downpipe cannot have any added soldier to accommodate bars or side cruises that can be dismantled.
Furthermore, it is to be taken into account that the front arc cross bar can never limit the visibility of the front moon or a millimeter, it is to be taken into account especially at the time of assembly, because if an incorrect installation is made, the responsibility will not be applicable to the manufacturer or the seller, but to the technician who performs the assembly.
Within this paragraph, it is necessary to say that the protective foam can not affect the visibility of the parabrisas or a mm, so keep this in mind at the time of installation.
Freedom of movement of the belt
The movement of the original belt can never be limited, affected and can never interfere or touch with the anti-wheel bars.
It is mandatory to cancel the rear seats
The installation of an antivulse arc, either 4 points back or 6 points full, implies the cancellation of the back places.It is therefore forbidden to carry passengers on the rear places.
7 - Alternative option if you cannot meet the first 4
In case you can’t meet the first 5 conditions there is the alternative to cancel the front arc and homologate only the back arc that is much easier to meet all the conditions.
Some users only homologate the back arc and mount the front to enter the tandas circuit for greater integral protection.
