BRAID was founded in 1979, starting as a small craft company, mainly due to the need of the Spanish market to find reliable competition bricks.The first plants manufactured were "three pieces" for a SEAT 124, which won the Spanish championship that same year.
The company quickly became a trusted partner and began to manufacture lenses for all kinds of applications such as competition, aftermarket or special orders for first brands.
Various agreements, alliances and developments have given rise to exclusive projects and high-tech bricks used by the most acclaimed motorsport manufacturers such as Seat Sport, Peugeot Sport, Renault Sport, Hyundai Motorsport, etc.
Due to the immeasurable quality/price ratio, throughout our history, we have supplied bricks as an official and exclusive partner to the leading car manufacturers, equipping their cups and brand monkey championships, both in rally and on circuit.
This tradition began in 1988, with Citroën’s AX Circuit Championship, where the famous 3 pieces Series 1R model was supplied.
Braid has been involved in such ambitious and exciting projects as Nissan Raid, Nissan 350Z Cup, Suzuki Swift Rally Cup, Mitsubishi RMC Cup, the Fiat 500 Cup, Seat Leon Eurocup, Renault Clio R3T trophy, Peugeot 308 racing Cup, Thundersport Championship of Denmark and many others.
BRAID has won its distinction internationally, suppliing lenses in such renowned championships as the FIA World Tourism Championship, the FIA Formula E Championship, the FIA WTCR Championship, the FIA World Rallycross Championship, being a preferred lenses supplier that ensures the highest and innovative levels of technology and design.
