General characteristics of the H&R Monotube

  • Shock absorbers with inverted monotube architecture, from the same used in automotive competition.
  • Double piston with greater section than conventional shock absorbers with a cylindrical body to ensure better cooling of the hydraulic fluid.
  • High-pressure nitrogen gas in a chamber separated by a double floating piston with multivalve plates that regulates the passage of oil inversely proportional to the working speed of the shock absorber.
  • High-quality special metal alloys that give the shock absorber long service life and extreme fatigue resistance.
  • H&R sports suspension springs are manufactured with special steel material of chromium silicon tempered by high hardness oil and chromium silicon vanadium alloys in a cold air process.
  • Progressive springs that have been developed in many tests carried out. Each step of the manufacturing process is exactly oriented to match the sensitivity of the materials: the correct heat treatment (300º), the improvement of the useful life through the blasting of steel balls (Shot peening), the adjustment to the measure (Pre-setting) and the phosphating of zinc.
  • High quality hydraulics. The H&R hydraulics used are of high quality and have an extremely high boiling point which makes them very resistant to cavitation with high working temperatures.
  • 5 years warranty. All these manufacturing processes are verified one by one which allows maintaining a high standard of quality.
