CARBONE LORRAINE RANGES
RC5+
The RC5+ compound is the newest used by Carbone Lorraine and is especially suitable for lightweight compact sports cars that circulate on the road with sporty driving on the street and sports driving in conditions of not much grip, (rain, mud, dirt, street tires... etc)
Indicaídos for use with street tires in circuit runs and track days of short duration with a moderate level of demand.
They have a high thermal coefficient and their performance is better in high temperatures, but their efficiency window is also effective in cold braking.
They are compatible with source discs, have a moderate coefficient of friction of 0.40μ, and have a low noise level.
RC6
The compound Carbone Lorraine RC6 represents a step further with respect to the RC5, its bite is superior and represents the definitive pill for the track days.
Undamaged for use in track days with more powerful cars and in higher grip conditions (With soft slicks and semi-slicsd tires, dry track, abrasive circuit track... etc)
In some cases the RC6 can be a little noisier due to its very high performance characteristics, its coefficient of friction and its bite power, which makes them the track day pickups par excellence.
It wears the original disc a little more because its coefficient of friction is higher than 0.50μ, it is advisable to mount brake discs superior to OEMs and in some cases it is additionally advisable to mount ducted ventilation air intakes to increase its useful life.
RC6 Endurance
The Carbone Lorraine RC6 Endurance compound is specific for endurance competition applications, ideal for 6,12 or 24-hour races.
With a friction coefficient of 0.46μ the wear of the pad and disc is minimized while maintaining a very high braking power.
RC8
The Carbone Lorraine RC8 compound is the most aggressive of all with a coefficient of friction of 0.60μ , it is used in special competitions such as Nascar, WRC, WTTC, GTs, V8 Supercars ... etc.
It is only advisable to use it with soft adherent slick tyre, use with conventional commercial tire is discouraged, it can lead to the blocking of the wheels and appearance of planes in the tires.
