The H&R Stabilizer Bar
Stabilizing bars are an essential element to maintain the stability of the car. They are also known as Anti roll bar in English and serve to reduce the "rolling" effect.
The rolling effect is the trend the car has to turn over its longitudinal axis when it enters a curve and increases the faster we enter the curve, which increases the likelihood of turning.
The stabilizer bar is a component of the suspension that allows to solidarize the vertical movement of the opposite wheels, minimizing the side inclination that suffers from the carrossery of a vehicle when it is subject to the centrifugal force, typically in curves.
When the vehicle enters a curve, the carrossery tends to incline outside. This causes wheels that go by the outside of the curve to be subject to a greater dynamic force, which translates into a greater weight over the suspension.
On the contrary, the internal wheels are discharged. Therefore, a compression of the suspension on the external side and an extension on the internal side can be observed. This effect can cause any of the internal wheels to lose contact with the floor.
For sports driving, overdimensional bars are mounted with a greater diameter for the car to enter and out of the more flat curves.
Some bars of some specific models of cars, serve as adjustable bars, that is, incorporate two or three holes to alter the chassis behavior to the user's taste. The closer the center the chassis connection ticket is adjusted, the less palanca there will be, the harder the bar behavior will be and more aggressive will be the behavior of the chassis, while if adjusted in the more outer holes, the opposite effect will be achieved.
It is necessary to pay special attention to the firm sliding, since the assembly of stabilizing bars with greater thickness improves the passage by curve in firm and dry asphalt but can decrease it in firm sliding and sliding or wet, therefore the assembly is more thick stabilizing bars is advised for drivers with a certain level of experience and is disadvantaged for novel drivers or with little experience.
Increase the performance of your car and improve the dynamics of your car by mounting some stabilizing bars, you will notice the difference !!
Not always mounting only a hard suspension solves the problem, sometimes it can even worsen it
An essential upgrade to increase the stable passage by curve, especially if you’re going to compete in asphalt or drift.
