Competition intercooler kit for Fiat 500 Abarth
Fiat Abarth 500 1,4 Turbo 99 KW/135 PS (2008-)
The WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler has a new competition core (Tube Fin) with the dimensions 600 mm x 204.6 mm x 80 mm (9.8 liters), which was developed especially for the requirements of the Fiat 500 Abarth. This high-performance core offers an 85% larger frontal surface and 131% more core volume compared to the stock intercooler. The aluminum cast endtanks were designed in CAD and optimized by using CFD simulations (for an ideal internal airflow).
For the best possible heat exchange, the WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler is installed in the front of the car, replacing the two original side intercooler. The newly developed elliptical hose connection at the outlet of this intercooler and the WAGNERTUNING silicone hoses enables a maximum possible reduction of the charge air distance. As a result of the generally lower back pressure of the complete intercooler system (see diagram) and the short charge air distance the overall response could be significantly improved.
An anti-corrosion coating with heat-conducting properties protects the WAGNERTUNING intercooler from all environmental influences, as a result of which a lasting and optimal cooling effect can be guaranteed. Installation is done by replacing the original intercooler and is easy to perform (plug and play). All our products are subject to a continuous quality monitoring.
