Stabilizing Bar

Sometimes, we’re sitting out how our car works, but there’s a lot of users who don’t know the function of the stabilizing bars, some users change them because they’ve been recommended by a friend but they really don’t know what function they really do, what benefits they’ll get and what disadvantages they’ll have.

What about the stabilizing bars?

The stabilizer bar is a component of the suspension that allows to solidarize the vertical movement of the opposite wheels, minimizing the side inclination that suffers from the carrossery of a vehicle when it is subject to the centrifugal force typically in curves.

The stabilizing bar, being an elastic component, transfers part of the compression force of the suspension, associated with the external wheel, to the internal wheel.This produces a decrease in the compression that the external wheel suffers and therefore helps to a lower inclination of the carrossery of the vehicle.

The thicker the diameter of these bars, the more resistance will have to the tortion and the more flat the car will enter the curve

What benefits will I get by installing a stabilizer?

The assembly of some stabilizing bars is always for more, i.e. from smaller to greater diameter, never vice versa, more stability is sought not less.The advantages you will have:

When is it recommended to install stabilizing bars?

The assembly of stabilizers is always associated with the competition and in general when the performance of a car is increased, if we increase the power, necessarily we have to look for a balance of the engine with the chassis, nothing serves to pass from 200 to 200 400 cv if the chassis remains invariated since it came out of origin, on the contrary, the thing can go worse.

Keep in mind that it can be much more competitive a car that has passed 200 to 300 cv with an optimized chassis than one that has passed 200 to 300 cv 400 cv without touching the chassis.

Always keep in mind the kind of firm by which your car will circulate most of the times, if it is flat (type circuit) then if it is recommended to mount the stabilizers, if it is irregular or bushed, then you can have more problems.
