Function of embrague

The main function of the embrace is to connect – embrace – and disconnect – the movement generated from the engine with the speed box and the rest of the transmission in vehicles with manual box.

Every experienced driver knows how to use the embrace in normal conditions to start a stopped car, to change marches and to maneuver in parking situations, change of sense etc

Classes of Embrace

There are several classes of embrace but basically there are three types taking into account the compound used in the friction furnace.

Organic embraces, cerametal embraces and carbon embraces

The first is used for normal daily use while the second is used for sports applications.

Carbon embraces are used for high-power cars and in highly demanding high-level sports competitions.

How to Choose My Embrace Right

In order to correctly choose an embrace, it is necessary to know the enhancement we have made or we will do to our car.

If we’re going to make a strength of up to 15/20%, the organic compound of Exedy will be enough to endure the new pair and the new power

If the strength will be greater than a 30/40% then it is advised to use ceramethal compounds, but keep in mind that the ceramethal compound is much more aggressive than the organic and the melting coefficient is very higher and the melting is also, the usual driving by the street can become a bit uncomfortable since the maneuver can become sudden.

Circuit and hard track days

This disk is about half thick than the original OEM unit and is recommended only for circuit use.Ultra light disk with less weight, the engine runs faster.

Tacto racing, street use is not recommended for its great bite power, it can make the maneuver operations quite uncomfortable for its daily use.

Features of Exedy Hyper

The Pro Competition

This kit incorporates a disc of ceramethalic pills with 6 mole, a light aluminium press and a chromoly inertia wheel.Indicated for cars with higher power and tested 40of 0ft/lb.

It is necessary to acquire a new OEM push coat separately.

Hyper Twin and Hyper Triple series are for competition applications and high-power cars,
are for turns around 500 lb/ft and 800 lb/ft respectively

Important note :

The original inertia wheels are praised and imbalanced with the use and passage of time.It is highly recommended to change the inertia wheel or at least bring it to balance.
The embrace kits mounted with old wheels lack guarantee regarding the appearance of vibrations.
